Taste of Rum 2015
This Saturday February 28, Paseo de La Princesa in Old San Juan will be transformed into a festival of bacchanalian revelry fueled by music, fine food, and most crucially, rum. In it’s 6th year, Taste of Rum 2015, sponsored by Rums of Puerto Rico, is slated to be the Island’s best yet. Celebrating over 450 years of rum production in Puerto Rico, this year will truly live up to the event’s theme, ‘450 years of party.’ Indeed, the origins of rum intertwine with the very history or Puerto Rico itself.
From when the doors open at 3pm to last call at 9pm, you will have the opportunity to taste and learn about the premier rums of Puerto Rico in the rum capital of the world. Try over 15 brands of rum including: Barrilito, Bacardi, Caray, Club Caribe, Don Q, Caliche, Trigo, Pitorro, PitoRico, Palo Viejo, Ron Llave and many more.
There will be live music from 3pm as well as informational rum seminars running throughout the event. Restaurants including: La Cueva del Mar, Soleil, Asere, Mango’s, Casa Lola, Rosa Mexicano, Il Mulino, and many others will help appease your appetite and sustain your endurance as you visit the ten rum booths serving a variety rums.
Tickets are $40 in advance or $60 at the door. Each attendee will receive a wristband and a 5 ounce cup to carry on their person through the duration of the event.
