Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?

Tickets must be purchased in advance to ensure your space on the experience. We accept all major credit cards.  Book your experience here.

What is your late arrival policy?

Please plan accordingly (allow extra time for traffic and parking, especially on weekends) and arrive at least ten (10) minutes prior to the start time. *Experiences starts promptly. We allow a 5 minute grace period after the allotted start time (during the introduction) – following that, once the guide has left the meeting location, guests may no longer join the tour. Please note we are on Atlantic Standard Time (AST) and Puerto Rico does not observe Daylight Savings.

Where do the experiences begin and end?

The exact meeting point will be disclosed upon the purchase of your ticket. The experiences end within a few blocks radius of the starting point. Your guide will be happy to assist you with directions to your next destination.

What days do the experiences run?

We run experiences everyday. Private Experiences can be scheduled on the day of your preference. Please email us for more information regarding private experiences.

If an experience is sold out, is there a waiting list?

Yes! Please email us and let us know the date you are interested in, what experience and the number of people in your group.

What happens when it rains?

Experiences are given rain or shine. Since Puerto Rico is a sub-tropical island, it might start raining at any moment. Luckily, four experiences are not ruined by rain since a large portion of the time is spent inside restaurants. It is a good idea to bring an umbrella or purchase a Spoon umbrella during checkout. We do not, however, run tours during hurricanes or severe storms.

Are children allowed on the experiences?

We are glad to host kids on all but one of our experiences. The only exception is our Sip & Savor Cocktail Tour™. If you have further questions pertaining to tickets for children, please email us.

When is the best time to take my experience?

We highly recommend booking our experiences at the beginning of your visit so you allow plenty of time to revisit the wonderful neighborhoods, restaurants, historic sites, and points of interest. Your guide can also provide you with lots of recommendations for things to do all over the island.

How many people can I expect in my group?

Depending on the time of the year, your group will have anywhere between 2 and 14 people. We like to keep the groups small and personal so that you have a more immersive experience. That way you can easily hear everything your guide says, and feel engaged, and comfortable.

How should I dress for my experience?

Puerto Rico is Hot! Hot! Hot! For the most part, we visit casual establishments. Wear casual, comfortable, summer attire.

Should I eat before the experience?

No! Come hungry to our food tours! There is a lot of food and you will be full by the end – We promise! We do, however, recommend eating something before or after our Sip & Savor Cocktail Tour™, since it only includes some light bites.

Do you accommodate special dietary needs?

We do our best to accommodate all food allergies, dietary restrictions, and/or intolerances. Please notify us at the time of booking of any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate your needs to the best of our tasting locations’ abilities. We cannot guarantee substitutions if no prior notice is given. If you want to chat with us before booking, please email us.

Are the tour guide gratuities included in the ticket price?

Gratuities are not included in your ticket price. If you have a memorable time, tips to your guide are welcome!

Are photos allowed on the experience?

Which places do we visit?

We want it to be a surprise… it’s more fun that way! But we will say that all businesses we partner with are independently owned, feature local ingredients, and are off the beaten path.

Is there alcohol on the tour?

There are two (2) alcoholic beverages included on the Old San Juan Walk & Taste Tour™, the Sunset Walk & Taste Tour™, and the San Juan Drive Around & Walking Food Tour™. Lots of drinking on the Sip & Savor Cocktail Tour™, of course!

How physically fit do I need to be to enjoy my experience?

Most experiences require a certain level of good physical health but are not very strenuous. The Old San Juan Walk & Taste Tour™, Sunset Walk & Taste Tour™, and Sip & Savor Cocktail Tour™ require the most physical stamina. You’re walking through historic Old San Juan, which has uneven cobblestones and several uphill streets. Nevertheless, we walk at a very casual pace and stop at restaurants, bars, and shops for tastings. If you are in good physical health, you will be fine.

The San Juan Drive Around is part walking and part driving- there is less walking and more driving involved.

I am a native of Puerto Rico. Do you have anything to offer for me?

¡Claro que sí! If you are a local, you are sure to learn new things about Puerto Rico’s history and the food you love so much. We craft fun and educational experiences that incorporate things we are sure will be new to you. Let us know you are from Puerto Rico when you book. Side note: Other than taking one our standard experiences, we recommend for locals to contact us and book a customized tour, cooking class, or event so that we may include  international cuisines, and other surprises.
