Get Ready for Saborea 2014
We are so excited to announce the return of Saborea, one of the most important culinary events in Puerto Rico. The event will be held April 5-6 at the El Escambrón Beach in Puerta de Tierra near the Caribe Hilton Hotel. This is a great opportunity to sample Puerto Rico’s best cuisine from over 60 restaurants, watch live demonstrations and sample a variety of spirits and wines in a perfect beach setting. International chefs include Susie Jiménez, Brian Voltaggio, Jonathan Grahm, Debi Mazar and Gabrielle Corcos. The masters of ceremony include Chef Roberto Treviño, Chef Tino, Chef Giovanna Huyke and culinary entrepreneur and event producer, Paulina Salach.
On Friday, April 4th, the event will kick off with a private dinner at the Condado Plaza Hilton. Choose from 20 tables, each hosted by a renowned chef who will cook up a three course dinner live for a truly VIP experience.
According to Ingrid I. River Rocafort, the executive director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, San Juan is know as the Gastronomic Capital of the Caribbean and Saborea offers locals and tourists alike, the chance to experience Puerto Rico’s culinary traditions.
