This tour was amazing from beginning to end! Our guide, Rocío, was knowledgeable, fun and passionate about sharing her experience as a local "sanjuanera", making our walk meaningful in multiple ways. Each of the stops comes with either something delicious to nibble on or some interesting fact about the city, making it a rich experience without pretending to be a history lesson; more like a light and fun way of learning highlights of Puerto Rican food and culture while taking in the views and tasting fabulous food. "This trip was booked on a whim and quickly became a jewel of the island. Our guide Pablo was very excellent and knowledgeable about the history of Old San Juan and the history of the food. I can not express enough how much I enjoyed this experience and the pleasant company he provided. On this trip you will learn everything from how the fort was defended to the many uses of plantains at different stages of ripeness. It was extremely fun and makes me savor the food for what will be many years to come. Highly recommend this trip."

If you’re not a “tour” person this will change your mind! We took the sunset food and drink tour. Our guide was Pablo. He was one of the most engaging and entertaining history teachers I’ve ever had. His knowledge base is incredible. BUT as important... the food was exceptional!!! I highly recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your trip. It will give you a great base of information and ideas for other outings. I really can’t say enough good things about the food or the guide!
"At each stop, we had a delicious hand crafted cocktail, each unique to the bar/restaurant, and our night ended at a local craft beer pub, where we were offered several samples. Pablo, our guide, was amazing! He told us the story behind each location we visited, and some history of Old San Juan, as we walked the streets between stops. We did several tours with Spoon during our stay in San Juan, and I cannot say enough about the company. I'd definitely recommend this tour go on your must do list, while in San Juan!"
