Duration: Approximately three (3) hours.

Group Size: Minimum of 10 guests; Max. 17 guests.  At the time of booking, you must have 10 or more in your party in order to reserve the class. (We are not joining together individual bookings).

Meeting Point: Condado (exact meeting point provided with booking confirmation)

Cost: $179 plus tax per person (without transportation)

Attire: Casual, comfortable clothing (aprons provided)

Our space offers an open-concept kitchen experience where the atmosphere of our cooking class is as captivating as the kitchen itself. From the moment you enter, you’ll be transported into a unique culinary journey that tantalizes all your senses with the vibrant colors, enticing aromas, and delightful sounds of Puerto Rican cuisine. Our commitment to using locally sourced ingredients means we cook with the freshest produce available, selecting what’s in season. This ensures the highest quality of ingredients and allows you to experience the local cuisine and authentic sabores that Puerto Rico has to offer. Alongside your instructor, you’ll learn about Caribbean cuisine and the different types of ingredients you can find on the island of Puerto Rico.

What to expect:

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with a refreshing cocktail to set the stage for the culinary adventure ahead. Guests will also enjoy a delicious alcapurria appetizer to start preparing their taste buds for what’s to come. Our talented chef and their assistant will lead you through this unique experience, guiding you on how a variety of local dishes are created! You’ll learn how to master the art of making sofrito, our signature condiment, and journey back in time as you learn to prepare pastel, a dish passed down from our Taíno ancestors. Together, guests will also discover the secrets of crafting Puerto Rican classics like arroz con gandules and pernil. Finally, you’ll indulge in learning how to make our delectable dessert, tembleque, to wrap up the class on a sweet note. After the meal is prepared, you’ll gather around a beautifully set table to savor the fruits of your labor, ¡buen provecho!

  • Welcome appetizer (alcapurria)
  • Welcome cocktail
  • Making sofrito from scratch
  • Making homemade “pasteles” with pork. Learning how to fold the “pasteles” and cooking them.
  • Demo of how to make Puerto Rican “Arroz con Gandules” (one or two guests will help with the preparation)
  • Demo on how to season and prepare Puerto Rican “Pernil” (one or two guests will help in the preparation)
  • Preparing the dessert “Tembleque” (one or two guests will prepare this dish)
  • Wine & cocktails will be available for purchase.
